Thinking About Following Your Thinking About The Land We Call Home, The Stories We Tell and Creating Inclusive Content with Jenny Jay | @JustAskJenny
In today's episode, I’m talking to Jenny Jay. Jenny has been on a long journey of learning, seeking education, and growing to be a better person each and every day. As a storyteller and creator, all of her education over the last 7 years has become integral to the content that she writes, creates, and shares. Add that to her lived experiences as a South Asian woman with experiences with in/visible disability, living unhoused and without financial security, and existing in her other identities, she recognizes the difference it makes when stories are shared in a way that recognizes you and validates your experiences. Together, she truly believes we can make spaces — online, in our media, in our conversations, and in our businesses, that are spaces for change. Because now more than ever, this is important.
We discuss her trip across the land now called Canada to explore the places she's called home, telling stories that validate the people they are about, creating inclusive content, her latest documentary project This Is My Proof and so much more!
